1. General Safety Rules Policy

Employees must immediately report any unsafe conditions, hazards, accidents, or injuries to their supervisor or the designated safety officer.
- Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace:
Essential MI Sol maintains a strict policy prohibiting the use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Employees must not be under the influence of these substances while on duty.
- Emergency Procedures:
Employees must familiarize themselves with and adhere to emergency procedures at each client site, including fire evacuation plans and emergency contact information.
- Infection Control:
Employees must comply with infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and the safe disposal of medical waste.
- Equipment and Machinery:
Employees may operate equipment and machinery only if they are properly trained and authorized. Safety procedures must be followed at all times.
- Training:
Employees are required to participate in all safety training sessions provided by Essential MI Sol and/or the client.
- Incident Reporting:
All incidents, no matter how minor, must be reported promptly to both Essential MI Sol and the client following established reporting procedures.
- Confidentiality and Privacy:
Employees must respect patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy laws.
Enforcement
Failure to comply with these safety rules may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The safety of staff, clients, and patients remains our top priority.
Acknowledgment
All employees are required to read, understand, and sign this policy as a condition of employment.
2. SMS Communication Policy
Essential MI Sol uses SMS (Short Message Service) as a key tool for timely communication with employees, applicants, and clients regarding staffing and employment opportunities.
Consent and Boundaries
- Obtaining Consent:
Prior consent is required before adding individuals to any SMS group or sending messages outside normal business hours.
- Opt-In:
By providing a mobile number, individuals consent to receive SMS messages related to employment, scheduling, and administrative updates.

May vary depending on user interaction, up to 7 messages per week.
- Standard Fees:
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on carrier and plan.
- Opt-Out Process:
Recipients may opt out by replying “STOP” to any message or contacting our support team.

- Essential MI Sol strictly prohibits sharing sensitive or private information, including patient data, via SMS.
